ABB T200 Communication Server

The Klinkmann Automation ABB T200 Communication Server ("ABBT200 Server") is a Microsoft Windows 32-bit application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs access to data from ABB Procontic T200 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using the RS-232C serial interface. The communication is possible with ABB T200 CPU Programming Port or with RS-232C serial port on 07 KP 60 Communication Processor. Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE, FastDDE or SuiteLink Client may use the ABBT200 Server.

FEATURES

The ABB T200 Communication Server (if running on MS Windows NT) supports the Suite Link communication protocol.

The Server supports communication between the computer standard RS-232 port and ABB T200 CPU Programming Port or RS-232C port on 07 KP 60.

The One-way Activation Control Procedures are used between the ABBT200 Server and ABB T200 PLC, i.e. each of modules in ABB Procontic T200 PLC is activated by an entry of a task code from the ABBT200 Server.

The configurable Response TM (delay in control characters transmission) and maximum Read Block Size settings supported for each connected ABB T200 PLC.

The Server minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists to read only, client-requested items/points.

The Server supports multiple topics, allowing different data update rates for controller.

The Server provides a communication status flag for each topic.

The Server supports standard DDE among multiple applications.

SPECIFICATIONS

Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously.

Software: Microsoft Windows NT, W2K, XP or 95 (98).

Maximum Connections: Supports up to 32 communication ports on PC (one ABB T200 PLC can be connected to one serial port on PC).

Devices Supported: ABB Procontic T200 PLCs.
