MISTICSA DDE Server
The Klinkmann Automation MISTICSA DDE Server is a Microsoft Windows NT application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to access the data from Cyrano 200 programs running on mistic Model 200 Controllers. The MISTICSA DDE Server can access up to 255 mistic Model 200 Controllers using the Serial and(or) Arcnet interfaces. Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE or FastDDE Client may use the MISTICSA Server.
FEATURES The Serial interface requires an OPTO 22 AC37 adapter card to communicate with mistic Model 200 Controllers. High speed two wire RS-485 communication at rate up to 115.2 kBaud. The Arcnet interface requires a PC bus ARCNET adapter card (8 or 16 bit, e.g. ARCNET-PC130E Network Controller Board) based on the SMC ARCNET chip to communicate with mistic Model 200 Controllers. Fast data access (2,5 Mhz) to data from the ARCNET network. Supports access to data from running on mistic Model 200 Controllers Cyrano 200 programs. Minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists to read only, client-requested items/points. Supports multiple topics, allowing different data update rates for each controller. Provides a communication status flag for each topic. Supports standard DDE among multiple applications.
SPECIFICATIONS Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously. Software: Microsoft Windows NT. Computer Interface: OPTO 22 AC37 adapter card for Serial interface. PC bus ARCNET adapter card (e.g. SMC PC130E/PC270E) for Arcnet interface. Maximum Connections: Up to 255 mistic Model 200 Controllers can be accessed. For Serial interface: networked over a combined distance of 4,000 feet and it is recommended that one AC38 Repeater Brick be used for every 100 Controllers on the communication link. For Arcnet interface: using passive or active ARCNET hubs. Devices Supported: G4LC32 or G4LC32SX type mistic Model 200 Controllers. Accessible Point Types: The following lists the supported Point Types: - mistic Controller global settings (program state, free memory, EPROM version, date, time, FORTH command, etc.) - Digital and Analog Board Status - Digital Point On/Off Status and Digital Point Integer or Float Features - Analog Points - Integer, Float, Timer and String Variables - Numerical and String Table data - PID Loop data - Task Status - Chart Variables
