Omron SYSMAC LINK DIRECT Communication Server

The Klinkmann Automation Omron SYSMAC LINK DIRECT Communication Server (OMRONSLK) is a Microsoft Windows application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to access to data from Omron PLCs using SYSMAC LINK protocol.

Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE, FastDDE, SuiteLink or OPC Client may use the OMRONSLK Server.

There are following OMRONSLK Server versions available:

- OMRONSLK DDE & Suite Link Server (32-bit), can be used on MS Windows NT and 2000;
- OMRONSLK OPC & DDE Server, can be used on MS Windows NT and 2000.

FEATURES

The OPC support for OMRONSLK Server OPC & DDE version conforms to OPC Data Access Custom Interface Specification 2.04. The OMRONSLK Server OPC & DDE version is tested for compliance and is compatible with OPC Foundation OPC Data Access Compliance Test Tool.

The OMRONSLK Server DDE & Suite Link version supports the Wonderware Suite Link communication protocol.

Communicates with PLCs using SYSMAC LINK Support Board installed in an IBM PC or compatible computer and connected to the Omron SYSMAC LINK System by coaxial cable.

Supports PCs Memory Areas accessible by CV-mode (FINS) commands.

Minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists to read only, client-requested items/points.

Supports multiple topics, allowing different data update rates for each controller.

Provides a communication status flag for each topic.

Supports standard DDE among multiple applications.

SPECIFICATIONS

Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously.

Software: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and 2000.

Does not require Omron SYSMAC LINK BIOS and SYSMAC LINK MS DOS drivers to be installed before starting MS Windows.

Computer Interface: SYSMAC LINK Support Board.

Maximum Connections: Supports up to 62 nodes including Support Board.

Devices Supported: Omron C200HS, C200H, C1000H, C2000H, CV500, CVM1-CPU01-E, CV1000, CV2000 and CVM1-CPU11-E PLCs.
