SIPART DDE Server

The Klinkmann Automation SIPART DDE Server is a Microsoft Windows 32-bit application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to access the data from Siemens SIPART DR20, SIPART DR22 and SIPART DR24 Controllers using 6DR2803-8A Serial Interface. The run-time system consists of one or several Controllers (slaves) connected to the host computer.

Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE or FastDDE Client may use the SIPART Server.

FEATURES

The C73451-A347-B202 SIPART bus driver can be used to establish the link between computer serial port and SIPART bus. Up to 32 SIPART controllers can be connected to the bus driver. The V.28 point-to-point communication can be used between bus driver and computer serial port.

Minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists for client-requested items/points.

Supports multiple topics for each Converter, allowing different data update rates.

Provides a communication status flag for each topic.

Supports standard DDE among multiple applications.

SPECIFICATIONS

Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously.

Software: Microsoft Windows 95 (98), Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, W2K and XP.

Maximum Connections: Supports connection up to 32 SIPART Controllers on each serial port.

Devices supported: SIPART DR20, SIPART DR22 and SIPART DR24.

Baud Rates Supported: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800 and 9600.
