Smart Performance MES at Uponor– Digital Pipe Production with AVEVA InTouch and AVEVA Historian

Uponor project in a nutshell:

Uponor partnered with Klinkmann to enhance its injection molding production with a data-driven control solution. The goal was flexible scheduling, real-time data collection, and comprehensive reporting. Using AVEVA InTouch, Historian, and Klinkmann’s Smart-Performance MES, the system enables real-time production visibility, disturbance tracking, machine performance monitoring, and waste analysis.

The scalable platform supports fast decision-making and fewer errors. Piloted quickly by Klinkmann’s Machine Intelligence team, the solution improves productivity and adapts to changing needs. Uponor, a global provider of water and HVAC solutions, operates in 30+ countries with €1.5B turnover.

The conceptualization and piloting of the project was done quickly by Klinkmann's MI team ((Machine Intelligence).

Klinkmann solution:

- AVEVA InTouch and Historian (System Platform) software provide a standard platform to which production data collection and various automation and IT systems can be easily connected.
-  Smart-Performance MES (by Klinkmann) offers ready-made dashboard reports and displays as well as analysis tools for the collected production data.
